Southern All Stars Return To East Alabama March 29th
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will make it’s first of two visits this year to the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL., for the 29th Annual Jimmy Thomas Memorial that will feature a 40 lap $4,000 to win event. This is the second year in a row that the series will be a part of this prestigious event named after the man that originally built the 3/8th miles facility located in east central Alabama. “We are very excited to be back at East Alabama and be a part of this big event for the track and also for the Thomas family” said series GM Lynn Acklin. “It has been a traditional event at the track and we as series feel honored to be a part of the event.”
The Southern All Stars part of the full racing program will consist of White Performance Qualifying, PPM Racing Products B Mains and a 40 lap feature that pay $4,000 to win. Along with the Southern All Stars there will be events in Nesmith Crate Late Models, Limited Sportsman, Rookie Late Model, Hobby, Bomber and Road Warrior divisions.
Pit gates will open at 2pm SAS technical inspection will begin at 3 pm, Grandstands open at 4 pm and hot laps begins at 7:30 pm, all times are EDT.
