Who can give me a 90/10 measurement to the inside of either frame rail. We don't have a pierce style Jbar frame mount. I think their is a center to inside 2x2 mount and we have an inside outside of 2x2 mount and need something to help us set lateral with any frame mount or jbar length. Thanks

my j bar is 19 3/8 on the inside of the 2x2

yeah I have the sheets, but my frame mount isnt pierce and the alignment with the BSB mount doesn't look right so if i had the 90/10 to frame rail it would assure we are right

Drop a plum bob (string) outside the L.R. frame, measure to the rotor we used 61/4 clamped 61/2 spring behind

Couldn't you do it by setting the shocks at 15 degrees if its clamped

Thats what the Book says, but when we called Bob Pierce he said to disregard it because that was only meant for the LR behind car? We have the new mount on the way I'm going to get that on there and see how the shock angles look then to confirm. It looks about an inch to far to the left and moving it to the right would go in the right direction for the shocks. We have a BSB 5 1/2" on center mount that is outside to inside of the 2x2 mounting, from what I theorize I think the Pierce is a center mount to inside 2" on center bracket or so. I don't have the 19.5 Jbar to confirm it doesn't go quite that short, so we are going to get the proper Jbar Frame mount on it which can never hurt, and see where we end up! Thanks NOT CLAMPED UP I think someone tried to tell me this before but we got criss crossed on reference points I'm use to measuring inside frame to 90/10 I'll think I got 9" and some change if its a 2" rail car that could collaborate to my 1" of lateral location discrepancy, I'll check it out and post my findings

A trick I found on Pierce cars is; while looking at the the car from the rear, when the left and right side 4-link bars are equally angled toward the frame than the rear-end is properly centered. (This is done with the car sitting at ride height of course)

The clamp cars I have and have worked on all use the 15* method. That started before Pierce even had a spring behind set up.

We got the Pierce Jbar Mount in it last night and set the bar by the book and it came out perfect. We just had the wrong Jbar Mount thanks for the help!
