Autism Speaks Awareness Monster Madness kicks off 2014 Season at Lavonia Speedway Tonight!!
**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** April 4th, 2014 LAVONIA PR
(Lavonia, Georgia) – The 2014 race season is finally here again and starts tonight at the 3/8th mile “Smoothest Dirt Surface in the South” – Lavonia Speedway. What a big year Stan Lester and Sarah King the Co-Promoters of the Lavonia Speedway have in store for all that attend the track in 2014 whether one time or every weekend this season and it starts this Friday evening April 4th with 7 action packed events at a great price. Remember in the event of weather related issues we are scheduled to race on Saturday April 5th but as of now we are set for FRIDAY NIGHT THUNDER at LAVONIA!!
There will be a full slate of racing entertainment including the 1st ever visit by the Schaeffer’s Lubricants Monster Mini Stocks Association. The last event they had was their season opener to kick off 2014 on March 15 at Harris, NC Speedway which drew in 38 cars. Lavonia dignitaries are expecting some big numbers or outcome as the same with the 1st ever visit by the tour this Friday. In addition to the other 6 racing classes competing we will be taking donations at the Lavonia Speedway to help put out more awareness for the Autism Speaks movement and ultimately doing our small part to help the organization in a major way be successful as April is Autism Speaks Awareness Month.
The FASTRAK Racing Series National Touring Division will return with the conclusion of LATE MODEL MANIA for them paying $3,000 to win on Friday April 11th. However the weekly race program will kick into full throttle tonight with the “best of the best” in FASTRAK pro late models racing to lock in the essential 12 races needed to run the big dance in “The Commonwealth State” October 2,3,4 - FASTRAK World Championships III at VA Motor Speedway.
Coming soon to Lavonia Speedway is FREE Carolina’s Night for the state residents of North Carolina and South Carolina getting FREE ADMISSION in the Grandstands yes it’s FREE!! Lavonia Speedway & Entertainment Complex is a fast, 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval located in Lavonia, Georgia. The storied speed plant commenced operation in 1971 and serves as a weekly facility, running on Friday nights from March into October sanctioned by the FASTRAK Racing Series.
Lavonia Speedway is a family-oriented facility that offers family-friendly pricing. Regular show program general admission is just only $10. We also offer a souvenir shop, full-service concession stand, and permanent front stretch restrooms. Track side parking is now available at $12.
