Which is better and why. Run support bar to chassis or rearward to axle tube? Thanks

i think most cars today run just a little bar the chassis shorter lighter and wont bend like the ones from the axle tube

I know Mastersbilt recommends just running a support back to the axle tube. While I have to believe they have done their research, you can't overlook the amount of rear steer that 4-bar cars have. With a lift bar mounted solidly to the rearend, think of how much change there is going to be on the fifth coil (left to right) when its 32-36" out from the axle centerline. Then again, think of how much the angle of the fifth coil (front to back) changes as the rearend (more so the center section) moves forward in the car under axle wrap-up. In the end, maybe it really doesn't make a difference.

There are potential misalignment issues with both setups. But on the whole, I prefer the mount to the chassis.

I run a Mastersbilt but always run a lift bar that has the support to the frame
