For a Gen-X car, I'm being told that the Genesis shock is the only way to go with this.

What is the magic in the Genesis shock and why can't it be done with another brand with the correct valving?

The shock that you are talking about has crazy rebound at slow speed/when the shock shaft first changes direction.

You can have success with other shocks. It just won't be the exact same setup. Sometimes your deal will be better, sometimes it won't be. But MasterSbilt will not be able to help you with it to the same degree.
