Swainsboro Raceway kicked off its inaugural Zaxby's Great 8 Crate Late Model Series @ Swainsboro Raceway this past Saturday Night April 26th. Ben Faircloth took the checkers by winning round one of the eight races! Faircloth who always runs strong at Swainsboro, and has visited victory lane before, led from the drop of the green. Past track Champion Austin Scarbough would challenge Faircloth but could not make the pass for the lead. Chris Usry would finish in a strong third with Henry Cater in fourth!
This Saturday night the Annual Pinetree 100 will take to the raceway with $5000 to win for round 2 of the Great 8 Crate Series at Swainsboro Raceway.
The Great 8 will be 8 Events paying $2000 to $5000 beginning in April and ending at the "Big One" in October.

May 3rd $5000 to Win "Pinetree 100!
May 24th $2000 to Win "Schools out for Summer"
June 14th $2000 to Win "Beach Bash"
July 4th $5000 to Win "Firecracker 100"

October 25th $3000 to Win Championship Night "The Big One"
"We are looking forward to the Great 8 Crate races as well as our regular racing program every Saturday Night" said owner/promoter Paul Purvis. This being our 50th year at Swainsboro we have a lot of great thing in store every weekend" added Purvis. Bring the RV, come early, tailgate with the Mud Bogging at the track as we complete our new Go-Kart track.
