Tire Rules Announced for Final Three Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series Races

BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA (April 28, 2014) - Promoter Ray Cook has announced the Tire Rules for the remaining Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series races on May 8, 9, and 10. For the Duck River, Boyd's, and Dixie Speedway swing, the Hoosier 1350 and 1600 and the American Racer 48 and 56 compounds will be the only approved compounds for competition. Only these four compounds will be allowed on all four corners of the car.

The series heads to the last leg of the 10-race mini tour beginning Thursday, May 8th at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn. paying $4,000-to-win. The series will then move to Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. paying $4,000-to-win at the track located on the Tennessee/Georgia border. On Saturday Night, May 10th, the tour will head to the Swims' family Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga. for the 50-lap, $6,000-to-win finale.

Billy Ogle, Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn. leads the point standings by just 34 markers over Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. Michael Chilton of Salvisa, Ky., Stacy Boles of Clinton, Tenn., and David Payne of Murphy, N.C. round out the top-five in the series point standings.
