CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 6 of the 27-week 2014 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies season will feature seven races over the weekend in four different states. There will be three races held on Friday night and four events will take place on Saturday night.
Friday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 6 events will be contested at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.
Smokey Harris Speedway in Haleburg, AL, Southern Raceway in Milton, FL, St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA, and Talladega Short Track will present Saturday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 6 races.
Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS leads the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 227 points and holds an 11-point lead over the second-place driver David Windham of Florala, AL who has 216 points. Windham leads a tight battle for the second spot in the standings, as just 11 points separate second through fifth.
Mike Lane of Pace, FL is third in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 214 points, and Clint Vaughn of Odenville, AL is fourth with 213 points. Scooter Ware of West Point, MS is fifth with 205 points. Another 11 points separate the sixth through tenth-place drivers in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division point standings.
Kevin Whittington of Brandon, MS has the sixth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 194 points, and Scotty Vowell of Philadelphia, MS is seventh with 190 points. Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is eighth with 188 points, and Branden Harris of Molina, FL is ninth with 185 points. Phillip Haynes of Anniston, AL rounds out the Top 10 in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 183 points.
Drivers that race at NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock tracks compete against each other through a points system that counts a driver’s best 14 weekly point totals during the 27-week season that runs through September 28. The 2014 NeSmith/AR Bodies National Champion will pocket $2,000 and the National point fund pays back to the Top 10 drivers at the end of the season.
