Mother Nature Takes Win at Dixie Speedway; Boyd's/Dixie Rescheduled for May 23-24

WOODSTOCK, GEORGIA (May 10, 2014) - After a couple of different rain showers late in the afternoon and into the evening tonight at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, track and Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series officials were forced to postpone the $6,000 to win showdown. The event at the historic Atlanta-area venue has been rescheduled for Saturday evening, May 24. Last night's rain-out at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia has also been rescheduled for Memorial Day weekend, as the $4,000 to win program has been reset for Friday, May 23.
A total of 38 competitors had signed in tonight at Dixie prior to the rain showers and those drivers include: Jody Summerville, Doug Stevens, Tyler Millwood, Joe Armistead, Jerry Loudermilk, Chase Junghans, Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Frank Ingram, Austin Smith, Clint Smith, Ray McElhiney, Donald McIntosh, Michael Page, Cody King, Brian Ligoh, Ronnie Johnson, Brandon Overton, Michael Chilton, Billy Ogle, Jr., Stacy Boles, Dale McDowell, Jeff Smith, Wayne Echols, David Payne, Casey Barrow, Gary McPherson, Shane Clanton, Jason Hiett, Jake Knowles, Cass Fowler, Chris Madden, Jason Croft, Ricky Williams, Jerry Bradley, Tony Knowles, Brian Reese, Scott Hall, and Kenny Collins.
