May 11, 2014 – Richmond, KY - After Mother Nature won Saturday’s race, Richmond Raceway’s Promoters are preparing for the debut of the B.O.S.S. Late Models. The 4th Annual Rain Dodger 40 is this Saturday, May 17 paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start. Let’s hope that the Rain Dodger holds true to its name because Tackett and Son Plumbing and Electric is adding an additional $500 to the winner’s purse making it a record breaking $3,500 to win race for B.O.S.S.
In addition to B.O.S.S., Real Country 107.5 Modifieds, Sportsman and Four Cylinders will also be in action. Prices for this event are $18 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 6-12 and 5 and under are admitted FREE in the grandstands. Pit passes will be $35 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 6-12 and FREE to ages 5 and under. Remember this is also the night we recognize the outstanding high school students for Grad Night. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE ADMITTED TO THE GRANDSTAND SPECTATOR SIDE FOR FREE!! Be sure to pick up your frequent fan cards at the Dirt Stars Booth just behind the grandstand admission booth for prizes and discounts throughout the season.
Also don’t forget to mark your calendar for the $300 to win Four Cylinder Fury that will be taking place next Saturday, May 24. Drivers be sure to get to the draw line quickly. Every driver must have a driver card and W-9 form filled out prior to receiving any winning money. These documents can also be found on the website. You can print them out and have them ready so you can avoid the long lines at the track.

*Amended new rule that you may not have seen yet is that the officials WILL BE PERMITTING the LM 40 Tire for all B.O.S.S. Events.
B.O.S.S. Late Model Rules
1) Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series body rules apply.
2) Weight Rules
a. Aluminum Block Motors – 2300lbs
b. Steel Block Motors - 2200 lbs
c. Fastrak Late Models – 2200 lbs.
3) Tire Rule
a. Hoosier 1600 and 1350
b. American Racer 48 and 56
c. Fastrak Late Models running on B.O.S.S. nights FT200, FT40, Spec21, Spec 55,
Hoosier 1600, 1350, American Racer 48, 56
d. Only eight (8) tires permitted in a race night. Tires will be marked at inspection,
those tires must be run for the entire event.
e. Maximum circumference permitted is ninety-three inches (93").
f. Maximum cross section width permitted is sixteen and three-quarter inches (16
3/4")
g. No tire softeners or conditioner.
h. Officials reserve the right to take random tire samples at any time from anyone.
All prize monies will be held until lab results have been confirmed.
