Rod Conley Charges to Podium Finish in Moonshine Runner 50; Trip to Atomic Saturday

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams were out in full force on Friday evening, May 16 at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky, as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series made their first-ever visit to the eastern Kentucky facility. A total of 39 entrants piled into the pit area for the 'Moonshine Runner 50' and all eyes were fixated on the $10,000 top prize. Rod Conley enjoyed the best night for the Conley clan, as he timed in thirteenth fastest in Group B during qualifying prior to finishing sixth in his stacked heat race and second in his B-Main. After rolling off from near the tail end of the field in the 50-lap feature event, "Hot Rod" blasted through the pack to finish third behind only victor Tim McCreadie and runner-up Darrell Lanigan.

R.J. Conley also transferred into the 'Moonshine Runner 50' after qualifying seventh quickest in Group B and running third in his heat race behind only prelim winner Dustin Linville and runner-up Tim McCreadie. Unfortunately, R.J. was deemed to be late to the staging area before the 50-lap main event and was sent to the tail, so he chose to pull off of the track after only one circuit and settled for a twenty-fourth place performance. Delmas Conley was not able to advance into the $10,000 to win A-Main after finishing seventh in both his heat race and consolation race, while J.T. Conley also missed out on the feature after winding up seventh in his heat race and eighth in his B-Main. Full results from the WOOLMS visit to 201 Speedway can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.woolms.com.

All four Conley’s will once again be at the same venue over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, as they plan to tackle Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday night, May 24. A special Hall of Fame Night is on the docket at the former K-C Raceway and a $2,500 winner’s check will be on the line for the Super Late Models. Both Rod and R.J. Conley have already visited Atomic Speedway victory lane in 2014 and the Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams are all eager to get back there on Saturday evening.
