CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 10 of the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season was scheduled to be the busiest week of competition in the nine-year history of the series. There were 20 races in nine different states on the Week 10 schedule of events, but Mother Nature is quickly putting a damper on the weekend, as six races have already been washed out.

Nonetheless, there are still 14 races on the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 10 schedule, and two of those races have already been contested on Monday night. Four races are still on tap for tonight, with eight races on the schedule for Saturday night.

Steven Brantley of Monroeville, AL opened NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 10 competition on Monday night by driving the Airport Sports Center Trak-Star to victory at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL in a race co-sanctioned by the Southeastern Crate Series. Ashley Newman of Ripley, TN took his fourth win of the season on Monday night at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN driving the Greg’s Sawmill Special.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 10 races tonight will be held at Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, TN, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, an $800-to-win race co-sanctioned with the Southeastern Crate Series at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL, and Salina Speedway in Salina, KS.

On Saturday night, NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 10 races will take place at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN with a $1,000-to-win event, Arkadelphia Speedway in Bremen, AL, Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX, Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Penton Raceway in Penton, AL, Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.
