Moler and Florence Next Up for Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series June 20, 21

Glasgow, KY-June 8, 2014- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will return to action with a doubleheader of racing action and the tour’s only events in the month of June on Friday June 20 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH and on Saturday June 21 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY. Both events will feature a 30 lap A-Main that will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.

The trip for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series to Moler Raceway Park will mark the tour’s eighth trip to the track and second appearance of the 2014 season, where Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN won earlier this season in April. Other series winners in past visits to Moler Raceway Park include Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN (twice in 2012), Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY (2011, 2013), Michael England of Glasgow, KY (2011), and John Demoss of Bloomington, IN (2010). The series will visit Florence Speedway for the first time in 2014 and for the sixth time in tour history, with previous winners at Florence Speedway including Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, MI (2013), Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN (2012, 2013), Rick Aukland of Zanesville, OH (2012), and Adam Hamilton of Aurora, IN (2011).

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will compete at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday June 20. The event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main contest. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Moler Raceway Park on Friday June 20 will be the track’s Mt. Orab Ford Late Models, Crazy Compacts, Chevettes, and Sport Mods.

The following evening, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will compete at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Saturday June 21. The event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 21 will be the track’s Super Late Models (paying $2,000 to win), Pure Stocks, and Hornets.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Moler Raceway Park on Friday April 11 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m., with practice starting at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Eastern Time. Ticket prices for the event at Moler Raceway Park in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 21 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m. and general admission area open at 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice laps set for 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials, with green flag racing at 7:30 p.m. All times are Eastern Time. Ticket prices for the event at Florence Speedway in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35.
