(CHARLOTTE, NC ) - After a few weeks off, the FUEL Racing Series gets back into action this weekend with a visit to western North Carolina and a trip to Harris Speedway. It is the only stop at the Rutherfordton oval for the series this year but it will surely be an exciting one as the tour visits its smallest track of the season. It will definitely be a different challenge for the teams as Saturday kicks off the busiest stretch of the season. "Harris is a total 180 from our last event at Wythe", explained Series Director Jason Atkins. "While Wythe challenged our teams with its high speeds and banking, the small confines of Harris will make for an exciting event! Scott Childress and his staff have been great to partner with. We look forward to a great event there on Saturday!" Ross Bailes is off to a torrid start in FUEL competition and leads the championship standings entering event #4 of the season. Brett Hamm, Donald Bradsher, Billy Hicks, and Ricky Weeks round out the top 5 as the series embarks on a hectic schedule in the coming weeks. To this point, the series has yet to have a repeat winner. Bailes, Jonathan Davenport, and inaugural winner Brett Hamm have all visited victory lane this season. Look for many of the FUEL regulars to be joined by some new faces this weekend as all eyes are focused on Saturday night's $3000 to win event!
