201 Speedway Welcomes Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on July 5th!
SITKA, KY (June 29, 2014) In less than a week 201 Speedway will host what is quickly shaping up to be the biggest event in the history of the Eastern Kentucky facility.
The stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) tour invade the historic 1/4 mile oval on July 5th to close out a busy Independence Day weekend for the LOLMDS competitors. The 2nd Annual Hatfield & McCoy Feuding 50 event will feature a full program of Hot Laps, Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a $10,000-to-win, 50 lap feature.
A strong contingent of regional and local racers are expected to battle with the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on July 5th. Martinsville, Indiana’s Don O’Neal leads the current LOLMDS championship point standings over three-time and reigning series champion Jimmy Owens. Scott Bloomquist sits third in series points chase followed by Steve Francis, and Earl Pearson, Jr. Eddie Carrier Jr., Jared Landers, John Blankenship, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Jason Hughes round out the top ten heading into the weekend.
In addition to the Super Late Model division, Bombers will also headline the evening’s racing slate in the 2nd Annual Bill McCloud Memorial paying $1,000-to-win, along with Open Wheel Modifieds in a Weekly Racing Series program.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Tire Rule for 201 Speedway:
Left Rear/Fronts – Hoosier Rib 1300, 1425 (no white dots)
Right Rear – Hoosier 01, 04
Activities for the July 5 event at 201 Speedway will the pit and general admission area cleared and re-opened at 3:00pm. A mandatory drivers meeting is set to take place at 6:30pm followed by hot laps at 7:00pm. Ticket prices for the July 5 event in the general admission area will be $30 for adults, pit passes are $40, while children ages 10 and under are admitted FREE to 201 Speedway.
