(Charlotte, NC) - Coming off a successful event at Cherokee, the FUEL Racing Series fires back up this weekend with 2 exciting events. While Ross Bailes continues to sit atop the championship standings, Brett Hamm closed in ever so slightly with his impressive victory at Cherokee. The combination of these upcoming events now offers FUEL drivers and other teams with CT525 engines the chance at a $6000 weekend! Several drivers including Donald Bradsher, Ryan Atkins, Kenny VanDerveer, Billy Hicks, Steve Banal, Furman Parton, and many others are still looking to break through with their first series win. This Friday, the series heads to Carolina Speedway for Friday Night Live and a $3000 to win event! The 40 lap FUEL feature highlights an action packed night filled with Carolina Speedway's support divisions and a special visit from Lizard Lick Towing & Recovery's Bobby Brantley! The series was rained out in its previous attempt to race at Carolina and it returns this week ready for an exciting night at Gastonia, NC oval. On Saturday, FUEL travels to the eastern part of the state for its first visit to Fayetteville Motor Speedway. The Toler Supply Fast & Furious 40 headlines the card along with Fayetteville's support divisions. While many of the drivers have raced at the 4/10 mile venue, some teams will be making their first visit to the Fayetteville, NC facility. As a reminder, Crate Late Model teams with the GM604 engines are welcomed in the FUEL series as well.
