Been using the Winters quick change gaskets and they seem to come apart really easy and only last a couple nights....any info on the other brands? Which ones are better?

I learned this trick years ago. Silicone the gasket to the rearend, then use anti-seize between gasket and gear cover. That way the gasket stays glued to the rearend, and your gasket will last most of the year.

Be sure not to go too thick with the silicone. Doing so creates a gap between the gear and the bearing on the cover which can result in premature bearing failure.

Yep, a real thin coat is enough to hold gasket. I usually put it on with my finger.

I do the same as drtrkr244. Never have any problems.

I've always used the felpro 2303 gasket. Get multiple years out of it too.
