With the homestretch of the 2014 season approaching, the FUEL Racing Series invades Ararat, VA this coming Friday night as the series makes its first trip to Rolling Thunder Speedway for the Bullring Bash! Located just above the North Carolina/Virginia border, the small but exciting bullring is nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 40 Lap $3000 to win event will be the 9th race of the season for the 1st year series featuring the CT525 engine package. Championship leader Ross Bailes (872) and 4 time race winner Brett Hamm (858) lead the series contenders into Friday night's event. Donald Bradsher, fresh off a pair of runner up finishes, resides 3rd in the standings followed by Ryan Atkins and Kenny Van Derveer. Veteran Ricky Weeks along with local drivers Mitchell Coble and Billy Hicks are also expected to be among the crowd favorites. A Special Thanks goes to Rolling Thunder event partners Klotz Synthetics, Riverside Building Supply, and MCR Race Cars & Parts. In addition to the headlining FUEL event, Rolling Thunder also has an exciting list of support division races on the agenda. The SECA (South Eastern Crate Association) late models will be competing in a $1000 to win event! A $500 to win Open Wheel Modified race and a $400 to win Mini Sprint race are on the schedule as well. Gates are set to open at 5PM with the Drivers Meeting scheduled for 6:30PM. Rolling Thunder Speedway fans, who bring their armbands from the July 25th event, will also receive a $5 discount ontheir tickets (Grandstand Admission Only).
