Next Up at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex Sprout Cossell’s Memorial Races Saturday August 16th Twin 15’s Paying $1500 to Win Each! For Immediate Release: Markleysburg, PA (August 12, 2014): Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex will present a pair of special events this weekend. On Saturday night, August 16, Roaring Knob will be hosting the High Gear Speed Shop RUSH Late Models “Sprout Cossell’s Memorial Races” with twin 15 lap features paying $1,500 to win for each. It is made possible by Sprouts Used Auto Parts, Cossell’s Auto & Truck Sales and Bobby Lake Motor Sports. Time trials will be used to determine heat line ups, a two lap time trails will be conducted with the first timed lap determining the Sprout Memorial heat races for the first feature and the second lap determining the heat line ups for the second Cossell Memorial feature. Joining the High Gear Speed Shop RUSH Late Models Saturday will be the NAPA Auto Parts Super Late Models, Mid Atlantic Hoosier Tire Street Stocks, Krause Electric Mod Lite, Newt’s York Bar & Grill 4 cylinders, Fort Necessity Garage Charges, and Mini Wedges will be on hand. RUSH member racers will be able to count both features toward both the $5,000 to-win Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Weekly Series Championship as well as the $3,000 to-win Pace Performance “Summer Chase” Championship! Also, both events will count toward the $1,000 to-win “Futures Cup” title of which several Roaring Knob regulars are part of including leader Michael Lake. Scott Rhoads and Quintin Wyandt are separated by just twelve markers at the top of the NAPA Auto Parts Super Late Models. Michael Lake is gunning for his first High Gear Speed shop RUSH Late Model championship. Braeden Dillinger and Lynn Knepper are a slim four point’s separation for the Krause Electric Mod Lites. Pit Gates will open at 4:30 p.m., general admission at 5:00 p.m., and racing will start at 7:15 p.m. Come out early to get your favorite seats for these exciting events! Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex is located near Markleysburg PA just off of scenic Route 40 on Fearer Road, 7 miles east of Nemacolin Woodlands on the right, 1 mile west of Yough Lake on the left. Drive-in parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Regular Action Events: Pit gates open at 4:30pm, grandstand gates open at 5:00pm, hot laps begin at 6:45 and racing starts at 7:15pm. Check schedule for possible different starting times for special events. Parking: Plenty of free parking in our main parking area. Designated handicapped parking area is located right at the main general admission gate. We provide "shuttle service" to and from the grandstand areas for those needing assistance.
