Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Farmer City Raceway Rained Out August 29

Farmer City, IL- August 29, 2014- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series opening event of the 2014 Land of Lincoln Triple Shot weekend has fell victim to Mother Nature at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday August 29. There are no plans for a make-up date at this time.

Rains moved through the area on Friday afternoon and enough rain fell in a short period of time that it left watering standing in both sets of corners at the track, along with making the pit area extremely wet as well.

The 2nd Annual Land of Lincoln Labor Day Weekend Triple Shot will continue tomorrow night August 30 for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL with the 2nd Annual Casey’s Modified Nationals, featuring a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 40 lap, $5,000 to win 2nd Annual Casey’s Modified Nationals A-Main. The Corn Belt Clash and American Late Model Series will be co-sanctioning the Super Late Model portion of the program, which pays $3,000 to win, along with other support division action.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday August 31 at Spoon River Speedway just outside of Canton, IL for the track’s Modified Fall Nationals event, featuring a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 50 lap, $5,000 to win Modified Fall Nationals A-Main.

In addition, all patrons need to visit the souvenir area and stop by the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Maxima Racing Oil Vending Area and pick up the official 2014 series t-shirt. Also, bring the children out and let them register to win a FREE bicycle courtesy of Tennessee RV Sales and Service and also pick up a FREE coloring book featuring drivers of the tour, both free of charge.
