Southern Nationals Bonus Series Sanctions Fall Classic Weekend at Ponderosa Speedway October 10, October 11
Junction City, KY-September 7, 2014- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson and staff are pleased to announce that the 2014 final weekend of racing will now be sanctioned by the Ray Cook promoted Southern Nationals Bonus Series on Friday October 10 (7th Annual Friday Night Rumble) and Saturday October 11 (24th Fall Classic Saving the Ta-Ta’s Topless 60).
The 7th Annual Friday Night Rumble will take place on Friday October 10 and will feature the Southern Nationals Bonus Series in action in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, dash (top 2 qualifiers from each group will be in a dash), heats, B-Mains, and the 35 lap, $2,500 to win/$250 to start 7th Annual Friday Night Rumble. The track’s Modified, Pro Late Model, and Sportsman divisions will also be in action, with purses to be announced. RACEceivers are mandatory for all divisions and can be rented at the track at driver registration.
The 24th Annual Fall Classic will take place the following evening on Saturday October 11 and will feature the Southern Nationals Bonus Series in action in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, dash (top 2 qualifiers from each group will be in a dash), heats, B-Mains, and the 60 lap, $7,500 to win/$400 to start 24th Annual Fall Classic Saving the Ta-Ta’s Topless 60, as the Super Late Model division will sport the convertible look and race with the roofs removed from the race cars. The track’s Modified, Pro Late Model, and Sportsman divisions will also be in action, with purses to be announced. RACEceivers are mandatory for all divisions and can be rented at the track at driver registration.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness, thus the Saturday October 11 portion of the Fall Classic weekend will see the Super Late Models race with the roofs removed from the cars and a portion of the weekend’s proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Times and purses for the 7th Annual Friday Night Rumble and 24th Annual Fall Classic Saving the Ta-Ta’s Topless 60 will be announced in an upcoming press release, along with further information concerning fundraiser events to benefit the American Cancer Society.
