Rule.
Must use one upper control arm, solid tube only, located at top center of rear end housing and remain centered (one inch tolerance) on housing over drive shaft

Does the chassis mount have to be over the drive shaft or can you mount that left or right of drive shaft?

Next question is there a difference on the LR to mount the shock in front or back of the rear end housing, what would be the reason for running either way.

If you move the rearend housing to the left 1 inch what would need to be check as far as binds, clearance issues, and would it messed anything up? Would doing this crate any undesirable conditions?

The whole rod frontvto rear must remain within one inch of the centerline. So the front could only be moved 1" of center. The lr shock we mount in front of housing. Especially a gas shock as it will give a little more control Moving the rear to the left will tighten the car up as far as binds make sure all hiems have enough room and jack the car up and see if it binds anywhere. It won't mess anything up but it will make it considerably tighter.

Thanks for the answer. Why doesn't the rule state that for the upper link. It only states center in the housing it says nothing about chassis mount just wondering.
Thanks for the answers

You know with the way the rule is written you could almost argue the front mount location not being within centerline. Its not real clear there as with a lot of other rules. I have been under the understanding of 1" of center front and back
