Coming off an exciting event at Rolling Thunder that featured a competitive 3 car battle for the win, the FUEL Racing Series heads back to Friendship Speedway for its 10th and final event of the 2014 tour. It will be the 3rd trip to the Elkin, NC venue in this inaugural season where championship leader Ross Bailes has successfully captured 2 of his 4 series victories. Brett Hamm, who currently rides 2nd in the championship standings, also has 4 FUEL wins to his credit this season. The Newberry, SC racer has been quite consistent and definitely had a very impressive campaign in his first full season following a series. Donald Bradsher rounds out the top 3 in the standings thanks to a string of solid top 5 finishes including recent back to back runner-up finishes at Carolina and Fayetteville. Ricky Weeks, Ryan Atkins, Billy Hicks, Mitchell Coble, Kenny VanDerveer, Steve Banal, and Gib Gibbons are amongst the drivers still looking to make their way into victory lane in FUEL competition. Friendship has delivered 2 exciting FUEL events this season including an epic battle for the race lead between Bailes and Jonathan Davenport back in April. Can Bailes or Hamm secure a series record 5th win or will someone else break through and prevail? It will all be settled this Saturday night in the $3000 to win event where we crown both a race winner and the 2014 FUEL Racing Series champion.
