Billy Moyer Racing Heads to St. Louis Area this Weekend on Heels of World 100

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 BMR team invaded the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 4-6 for the 44th edition of the 'World 100.' Billy's quest for a seventh globe trophy started on Thursday and Friday with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, each of which boasted a $5,000 top prize. On Thursday night at the "Big E," Billy narrowly missed out on transferring into his 25-lap feature after finishing fifth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. Things went much smoother on Friday evening, as the Batesville, Arkansas standout ran second in his heat race and fourth in the 25-lapper behind only victor Jonathan Davenport, Scott Bloomquist, and Brian Birkhofer.

The stakes were raised on Saturday at Eldora Speedway and Billy Moyer Racing was all-in gunning for the $47,000 winner's check. Billy placed sixth in his loaded heat race, but later grabbed the third transfer spot through his consolation race. After starting the 100-lap grind from the outside of the thirteenth row, "Mr. Smooth" was able to climb thirteen positions during the 'World 100' to claim a thirteenth place performance. Complete results from the action-packed weekend at Eldora can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) has a pair of high-profile events in the states of Illinois and Missouri circled on their racing calendar for the upcoming September 12-13 weekend. The ‘St. Louis Showdown’ features a pair of $10,000 paydays on Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and on Saturday at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri. A complete show for the UMP Late Models will be held at both St. Louis-area facilities this weekend. Billy has one feature win at each racetrack already in 2014 and will be gunning for another trip to victory lane.
