Friendship Speedway To Host Renegades of Dirt $10,000 To Win “North Carolina Nationals” in 2015!

(Middlebourne, WV) – Hype continues to build for the new Southern Region of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour since the official announcement took place a few months ago. The new region was designed to shorten the travel for dirt modified racers across the East while granting more opportunities to cash in on higher paying events and advanced marketing methods. The combination has open wheel racers in the South excitedly waiting the chance to participate under the growing popularity of the Renegades of Dirt banner and for a shot at the inaugural Southern title.

Some of the anticipation can be attributed to the Renegades of Dirt officials who have been diligently working to secure Southern region events and bring as many opportunities to its prospective racers. The hard work is paying off and social media continues to trend as Renegades of Dirt announcements stay steady with what lies ahead for the Southern region in 2015. Part of the hype includes the announcement made last week by tour personnel on the official location of the 2nd Annual “North Carolina Modified Nationals”. Not only did it reassure racers the monsterous $10,000 dollar payoff is back in 2015 but that they can begin planning vacation now to head to Elkin, NC in March.

Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour officials are pleased to formally unveil that Friendship Speedway in Elkin, NC will host the 2nd Annual 'North Carolina Modified Nationals.' The 4/10th mile clay oval in Elkin, North Carolina lying on the out skirts of Mount Airy is excited to welcome the “Beasts of the East” for one of the most lucrative modified purses on the Eastern side of the Mississippi, March 26-28th, 2015. The $10,000 to win Saturday night finale is back, bringing along a total purse of over $40,000 which makes it the second largest event in the East, only surpassed by the mind blowing Inaugural “Modified MEGA 100” which was announced last month. The 'NC Nationals' kicked off the Renegades of Dirt season in 2014 witnessed a season long best fifty five participants take the green flag with Mooresville, NC's Kyle Strickler earning his highest paying victory ever when the dust settled this past March.

“We are excited to make the big announcement that the North Carolina Nationals will be back in 2015 and at Friendship Speedway” stated tour promoter, Cody Watson. “Jason Atkins & Steve Summerlin have been working hard to bring the event to Friendship Speedway, a place that provides a quality show and is capable of hosting this huge event” added Watson. “Paying $10,000 to win is a huge modified purse that we hope drivers will once again support at the new venue. Bottom line...it's without question a purse worth traveling and racing for. Also, for the Northern travelers we have cut six plus hours off their round trip, we hope this will encourage them to all return for this event again in March” concluded Watson.

Friendship Speedway will boast the same format as the Inaugural “North Carolina Modified Nationals” held at County Line Raceway in Elm City, NC. On Thursday night March 26th participants will gather for an evening long practice session. Friday night March 27th will feature the return of the twin $1,000 to win shows. Then on Saturday night March 28th the Renegades of Dirt and Friendship Speedway will award the second winner of the Nationals the rich $10,000 top prize. A Saturday night non-qualifier, Race of States, will also be back on the card with a $750 dollar to win twenty lap feature open to any driver who enters before March and meets the necessary criteria.

“We are excited to host this event at Friendship Speedway and welcome the Renegades of Dirt” stated track GM, Jason Atkins. “This is a big opportunity for the speedway and our race fans to welcome the best of the best in the open wheel modifieds.
