Brady Smith Racing Bags Legendary 100 for Eighth Feature Victory of 2014!

(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith and his #2 team remained red-hot over the September 12-13 weekend, as they picked up their eighth feature win of the 2014 season in the annual 'Legendary 100' at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! Brady moved up three spots in his heat race on Friday night to finish second and later won the A-Qualifier, which earned him the pole position for Saturday's 40-lap headliner. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin star then controlled the field from flag-to-flag on Saturday to claim the $5,000 top prize over Jake Redetzke, Scott Gilberts, Chad Mahder, and Pat Doar! Complete results from the action-packed 'Legendary 100' weekend can be accessed online at www.cedarlakespeedway.com.

“It has been a pretty good last month for us for sure,” commented Smith. “The car has been performing so well and it has been a lot of fun winning races up around home in front of a bunch of family and friends. We’ll take this upcoming weekend off to prepare for Knoxville and hopefully I can contend for a second Knoxville Nationals title in what will probably be our season finale.”

The Brady Smith Racing team is set to enjoy the upcoming September 19-20 weekend away from the racetrack, but will be busy preparing their equipment for the 11th Annual ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.’ The hallowed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa will once again play host to the three-day crown jewel extravaganza on September 25-27. A pair of $7,000 to win preliminary events on Thursday and Friday will help set the stage for Saturday’s 100-lap ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals,’ which boasts a hefty $40,000 payday.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again preside over all of the dirt-slinging action at Knoxville Raceway next weekend and the high-definition cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand to tape all of the thrills for broadcast later in the year. Brady was the 2007 victor of the ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals’ and finished a steady seventh in last year’s edition of the event.
