bent our old mount so putting a new bsb on but there is an 1/2 inch difference between them. old is 3.1/2 center to center and the bsb is 4inch center to center. adjusted j-bar out 1/2 but will there be any other affects to cars handling moving it 1/2 closer to right or is it not enough to matter.

Yes, there will. How much is debatable.

You have biased the RR tire slightly more thru J-bar loading and the downward pressure from the rake of the J-bar is now pushing down 1/2" closer the the RR tire and a 1/2" farther from the LR tire. You have also lengthen the J-bar a 1/2" which is slowing down the rake increase from the car hiking and thus the amount the rear end moves to the left during said hike.

If your j-bar is on the longer side, then the length change won't be huge but it's there. The shorter is it that 1/2" becomes a larger % of change in length thus making that one effect seem larger then if it's a longer J-bar with the same change.

The 1/2" change on the load point of the rear end is somewhat dependent on over all width of the rear end and wheel offsets and how much downward loading you getting, which is for the most part by how much rake your running in the J-bar.

That all being said if you weren't overly short on J-bar length and have it reasonably tame on rake, then the change isn't going to be huge for the most part. Hard to answer without a lot more specifics but it should be huge, maybe a small tweak needed but I'd try it just like you have it now
