New to mods and I'm needing to purchase some new shocks. I'm a budget racer so I need the most bang for my buck. Running a 3 link Harris chassis. Will be running b-mods. Track is 3/8, mostly dry slick. Wondering about valving, brands, 7"-9". Any info would be appreciated.

We run a Harris sportmods 3 link ad well. I have a complete shock package for sale. Will take 800.00. 9 shocks in all. Call or text me at 920-360-2033

I would start by buying a pre-packaged 5-7 shock package… that will get you started. You can also buy from any one of the shock specialists that are in you area. But try to keep things simple as you need to work on your driving technique and you should pay attention to that not fancy shock set-ups.

Most veteran drivers will choose a mono-tube shock that can be tuned a little easier for different chassis set-ups.…. the Bilstein SZ and SG series are popular. But you may want to try a quality twin-tube from Integra or QA-1. They will give you a little better feel for the car when making adjustments… it will keep thing a little simpler.

There are others here with lots more experience than I have with this stuff. This recommendation comes from talking to a couple chassis builders I have spoken with recently plus a few PM's from a few members on this board.

I have also heard that the AFCO and Pro Shocks are now Chinese-made. Don't know for sure but,if true, that would put me out of the market for them… just personal preferences.
