Southern Nationals Bonus Series at Ponderosa Speedway Postponed Until October 31, November 1
Junction City, KY-October 9, 2014- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson and Southern Nationals Bonus Series officials have announced the scheduled events to be contested at the 3/8 mile red clay D-shaped oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” have been postponed this weekend for Friday October 10 and Saturday October 11.
With a large amount of rain having already at the track and with more predicted on the scheduled Friday and Saturday of the events and many race teams and race fans traveling long distances, track and series officials have made the joint decision to postpone the event until Friday October 31 and Saturday November 1.
But with the postponement does a positive come forth. The 24th Annual Fall Classic event will now see the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models race for $10,024 to win, along with Modifieds racing for $3,000 to win, Pro Late Models racing for $2,000 to win, and KDRA Sportsman racing for $1,500 to win in the Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event. An open practice session will also be scheduled to kickoff the weekend on Thursday October 30.
Events on Friday October 31 for the first night of the 24th Annual Fall Classic weekend will see all divisions in a program of practice, time trials, and qualifying heats, along with a few other things that will be announced later on this weekend. On Saturday November 1, events that will take place will include B-Mains in all divisions, along with the 60 lap, $10,024 to win Southern Nationals Bonus Series 24th Annual Fall Classic A-Main, plus feature events for the Modifieds ($3,000 to win), Pro Late Models ($2,000 to win), and KDRA Sportsman in their Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial ($1,500 to win).
Gates times, admission prices, and purse information for what will now be the richest ever Fall Classic event in the history of Ponderosa Speedway will be announced and released later on this weekend.
