I have a 4/4 mod with a short pullbar about 20 " center to center with 22 degrees of angle. Car good on 1/4 short tracks. But when we go to a high banked 3/8 were lacking some forward bite. Other guys are going to lift arms on the bigger track. So my question is if I move the pullbar back on rearend ill gain 2 1/2 ". I know typically u want to be 4" ahead of the centerline. Will it help me by making it longer and maybe decrease my pullbar angle to around 18 degrees. All thoughi will be great.

Would going to a longer pullbar help produce more foward bite on a 3/8 mike track

Have you tried a softer spring in it? That's what I'd do first.

I'm guessing you're UMP or another sanction where lift bars are allowed. What kind of travel are you achieving currently on your pull bar? Also, what type of bar are you using?

I have found for myself 22* is too much on a big track, the car will traction up hard but all at once back in the corner then let go as it comes out on the straight away. You may want to consider less angle.

We run a 3/8 mile every weekend and we run 16 to 18 degrees on the pull bar and works great for us so I'd agree with everyone else and put less angle in it
