Any thoughts? Are they similar to a Chevelle?

Depends on year. Either the same as a Chevelle or metric just longer. Thinking about it, don't think el caminos were made before '73

64-67 same as chevelle
68-72 same at chevelle
78-86? i think, is same front as a metric aka regal, monte carlo, malibu

There were also 1959 & 1960 models that used X style frames of the full size Chevrolets.

68-72 El Camino is a 4 door Chevelle frame. I restored a 68 ElCamino and had to replace some floor boards behind the seat. They were actually the foot wells for the rear seat in a 4 door car. Cut the floor out of a 4 door car and it was exact match. So Ya, the same, just longer

68-72 elcamino and same as chevelle but the side frame rails are boxed in.

Sounds like I am good to go. Just cut out the frame rails. Thanks everyone
