UFo Championship Reveals Base 2015 Point Fund Bonus
(Mars, PA) 2015 will be an exciting season for Super Late Model teams and race fans as the UFo Championship makes a grand return into the regional racing scene. The tracks of the tour have already assembled sponsorship for the year-end point bonus fund.
The 2015 point bonus fund will be fueled by long-time sponsors of the tour. Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, American Racer, Lias Tire speedshop and Precise Racing Products speedshop have renewed their sponsorships with the tour and have increased the point fund 50% on top of track contributions. As always, the UFo Championship will pass on 100% of the sponsors contributions to the race teams.
The 2015 point bonus fund will be $15,000, based on the completion of the current schedule of 10 events. Multi-day programs at the same factility will count as one event. The point fund bonus will be distributed to the drivers at the end of the season as soon as all sponsorship and track funding is received.
The base point fund for the UFo Championship for 2015 for 10 complete events will be:
1st- $4,000
2nd- $3,000
3rd- $2,400
4th- $2,000
5th- $1,400
6th- $1,200
7th- $1,000
If additional races are scheduled and completed on top of the base schedule of 10 races or if additional sponsorship funds are obtained, either the point fund for the top seven drivers will be increased or additional positions will be paid. The champion’s amount will match the highest amount paid in 2011, when the tour peaked at 20 races.
The tracks of the 2015 UFo Championship have assembled an excellent, reasonable schedule of events for area Super Late Model drivers in 2015. The extra event payoffs, season point fund, reasonable number of events and traveling distance present a great opportunity for area Super Late Model drivers in the upcoming season.
