I can't seem to find a shorter bj I want to try this year if they make one, Its a Howe bj stud 22460 that has a 22450 base screw in for the lower bj. Looked at Port City and they list that 22460 stud as a k6117, I'm guessing that is a MOOG number, but Port City doesn't show a shorter stud. Can't find a shorter one anywhere yet. Thanks

They don't make a hybrid. You can call or get an adapter for your lower hole you can weld or press in to run the regular metric lower. I believe. What are you rules? You could maybe find a Chrysler that you could get an adapter for the press in boss area they have more selection. most the Mods do run that 1/4 ton ball joint you already have or the Chrysler equivalent

Thanks for the information, I was hoping someone made a shorter one. I remember years ago putting a bushing on bj on a metric chassis spindle. I did find some that are shorter but with different tapers. Thanks again.

The thing to pay attention to is the boss where you press the ball joint in. They aren't all the same but you can find sleeves to adapt it to a smaller press in or the screw in. Howe has the catalog that makes it easier its free just go online and request it or they have it on their website, all the different measurements and options

The 22460 stud isn't the right one for that ball joint housing. It will fit but the correct studs are shorted than the one you have. They range from 3.27-4.57 long. Yours is 4.31 long. Here are the correct studs.

I saw those but thought it might be a different taper. I got those numbers from chassis builder and those are the ones that are suppose to be on the car and I wanted to go shorter on lower and taller on upper. Thanks for the help.
