Open Wheel Modifieds presented by American Race Tire South Added to Iron Man Speedweek 2015

Somerset, KY (January 25, 2015)- Chris Tilley with CT Promotions is pleased to announce that sponsorship has been secured for both the Super Late Model and Modified portion of the Iron Man Speedweek 2015 events. Revelution Race Cars had been previously announced as the title sponsor for the Super Late Model portion of the mini-series, while American Race Tire South will now be the presenting sponsor for the Open Wheel Modified portion of the Revelution Race Cars Ironman Speedweek that was recently added to the four days of Super Late Models racing action that will take place over the course of the 2015 Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Revelution Race Cars Iron Man Speedweek 2015 will take at the following venues: 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY (September 3), Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY (September 4), Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY (September 5), and Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN (September 6).

The Revelution Race Cars Iron Man Speedweek 2015 mini-tour will see nights of Super Late Model competition, that will now have the Open Wheel Modifieds presented by American Race Tire South as a part of the race program each evening. Also, the Revelution Race Cars Iron Man Speedweek 2015 events will be sanctioned by the Ray Cook promoted Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs.

The Open Wheel Modified division will be in competition at each of the four tracks that weekend as well, with each event’s format including practice/time trials, 8 lap qualifying heats, 10 lap B-Mains, with the A-Main being 25 laps in distance and paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start. There will be a $20 entry at each event (this will include transponder rental). Tire rules for the event will be as follows: Hoosier A and H compounds on all four corners or American Racer Hard and Extra Hard on all four corners (with NO grooving or siping of tires allowed). Body rules for the four races will be 2015 UMP DirtCar Modified rules. Eighteen drivers will start the Open Wheel Modified A-Main each night. The A-Main payout for each of the four Open Wheel Modified events will be as follows: 1st- $1,000, 2nd- $450, 3rd- $325, 4th- $250, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $115, 10th- $100, 11th- $100, 12th- $100, 13th- $100, 14th- $100, 15th- $100, 16th- $100, 17th- $100, 18th- $100.

There will be a point fund paid to the top five Open Wheel Modified drivers in points for the four-race weekend. This purse is based on ALL four events being able to be contested: 1st- $500, 2nd- $400, 3rd- $300, 4th- $200, and 5th- $100.

For the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models, the weekend will begin on Thursday September 3 at 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY with the 6th Annual Roger Breeding Memorial, with the event at the Jarrod Breeding promoted track being 40 laps and paying $3,000 to win/$300 to start. The action will then go to Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY with the 4th Annual Red Clay Bash on Friday September 4 at the Jerry Denson promoted facility, with it being another 40 lap, $3,000 to win/$300 to start event. On Saturday September 5, Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY will present the inaugural Colonel Classic at the Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz promoted facility that will pay $3,000 to win/$300 to start for 40 laps. The weekend will conclude on Sunday September 6 at Gary Hall’s Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN with the 7th Annual Buddy Rogers Memorial, with racing set for 44 laps for $4,400 to win/$400 to start.

There will be a point fund paid to the top five Super Late Model drivers in points for the four-race weekend. This purse is based on ALL four events being able to be contested: 1st- $1,000, 2nd- $800, 3rd- $500, 4th- $400, and 5th- $300.

The tire rules at all four tracks for all four events will be as follows: Hoosier- 1350 or 1600 rear only, open compound on front; American Racer- 48 or 56 rear only, open compound on the front. Also, each event will start 22 cars and all entries that do not transfer, but run in their assigned B-Main, will receive $50 tow money.

Iron Man Speedweek $3,000 to win A-Main Payoff for 201, Ponderosa, and Richmond: 1st- $3,000, 2nd- $1,500, 3rd- $1,000, 4th- $900, 5th- $800, 6th- $700, 7th- $600, 8th- $500, 9th- $450, 10th- $400, 11th- $350, 12th- $300, 13th- $300, 14th- $300, 15th- $300, 16th- $300, 17th- $300, 18th- $300, 19th- $300, 20th- $300, 21st- $300, 22nd- $300.

Iron Man Speedweek $4,400 to win A-Main Payoff for Tazewell: 1st- $4,400, 2nd- $2,000, 3rd- $1,000, 4th- $900, 5th- $800, 6th- $700, 7th- $600, 8th- $500, 9th- $475, 10th- $450, 11th- $425, 12th- $400, 13th- $400, 14th- $400, 15th- $400, 16th- $400, 17th- $400, 18th- $400, 19th- $400, 20th- $400, 21st- $400, 22nd- $400.
