Don't give it to Erb yet, there is some stiff competition in this race. Moyer is hard to beat here also. Davenport is crazy fast. Sheppard is ass due for the way he has been running. and the list goes on. Devin is getting a good education.

So much for the theory that under funded teams cant compete because of the tires. They all had the same tire on 3 corners, and the same old guys still finished in the front.

The tire rule isn't to make underfunded teams win it's to stop everyone from losing 20k in a week of racing

I was reading the driver interviews over on DoD and found it very interesting reading all the drivers complaining about no grip on Hoosier 1300's. I didn't realize how soft of tires those guys were using before this tire rule was in place. Locally we are on a 1600, D55, AR56 rear tire rule... I bet these guys would really think they are on bricks if they were using our tire rule.

Where are you talking about? I commend whatever area that is on saving drivers some money and putting some skill back into. I think Erb said it best when he said everyone else was having the same problem. If the cars are more difficult to drive than everyone then so be it. It looked like a hell of a race on DoD.

Thanks,
Jeff.

I'm not complaining about it, just found it interesting how the drivers all thought the Hoosier 1300 with the track conditions they had were extremely slick. I've never used anything less than a 1300 on the front of my car.

They were saying they couldn't feel the front end of the car because the track got slick last night and a 1300 is a very soft tire. We had no grip and it made the drivers drive, I like it and will gladly strap on 1300's on again tonight.

Oh ok, anything that puts the drivers in more control and showcase their driving skills, I'm all for it.

really? everything I saw had the drivers complaining about having no steering in the right front tire because they couldn't get any heat in them. I took it as they would rather run 1100s on the front

Found it interesting while watching Race Monitor which gave actual time of laps, the drivers were posting 17 second laps on the 1/3 mile. As Moyer said, we should have been doing 14 second laps. The combination of wet track and 1300's Hoosier tires made this race a skating event, not a competitive one. We will see if these pro's can figured it out tonight.
