We just got done with a three day show, and first two days were bloody cold. I mean ears and toes stinging cold --temps in low 30's after sun went down. I guess if I were a little smarter I would have stayed home. lol. Anyway a lot of cars were really out to lunch on their setup, guys that had even ran here a lot were not good. What are some changes you might do when cold.(Most cars were pushing one lap and fine the next-no consistence)

Put antifreeze in the motor and foam mud plugs to keep heat in the tires

There are a number of things you could do. Most things are trying to build heat into all 4 tires, esp. the right sides.
1)Increase cog height, 2)decrease LS %,3)soften rebound LS shocks/soften compression RS,4)add circumferential sipes to front tires, lateral sipes to rears,5) add some "stickum" to all tires if legal,6)pre-heat tires before pulling onto track (don't heat up past operating temp of tires)

Thanks for the replies. Needless to say I was out to lunch last week and we have another 3 day show starting to night.

Put bigger jets in the carburetor. Or one click richer on a Willy's carb.
