What is your ideal travel for a RF shock. How much do you guys like your travel to change between fast wide open and slowed down slick. How much is to much?

Depends on what type of front end you are running, spring rates and what your target loading is. No simple number.

HP is correct. No straight answer.
Personally, my goal is to keep RF travel the same throughout the night by softening compression as the track slows down. Easier said than done, obviously. In a perfect world, my dynamic roll center would be in the same place while cornering all night long.

Last 2 questions are easy. Keep it close to the same. Too much is when the chassis digs in and slows you down. How much is perfect depends on the rest of the setup and geometry. I have had fast cars with 4.5 inches and fast cars with 3 inches.
