What spring are you guys running on the left front. I'm on a 500 but hearing that a lot of guys are going softer to help get the left front down on the racetrack. Any suggestions? John 1*

I started off with a 500 or 550, I honestly can't remember. I ended up with a 450 on the LF, felt a lot better to me.
Most of my racing is on a 1/2 mile that has a fair bit of bite in it, it's pretty rare for me to run on what most down south would call a dry slick track. I'm a type A driver, I don't like being sideways much, so I like the feeling of a free car.

I'm down to a 400 on my LF. But it is in the shock package that allows me to run that low.

Sounds like you and I are in the same wheel house. I race at East Bay a lot and struggle a little when the track is heavy because I don't like to bend the car as much as I need to for that condition. I ordered a 450 to put in there for this weekend. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the input everybody. John 1*

One thing to keep an eye on is coilbind if you kept with a 10" spring the softer you go it can get the coils close. Not saying it will be an issue just keep it in mind I've seen 400-450 pretty common the good thing about the softer LF is you don't Roll as much, and the freeier you can get it on entry the less rear steer you have to run which will help you off the corner.

No there's no preload in my LF it is also chained.

How much rebound do you need when running a softer left front ? Or is it better to chain it and limit the amount of droop it has ?

We run the same shock valving across the front. they are both pin down shocks. when i tried it my shock guy gave me an afco 3comp/12rebound to try to see how i liked it.
