Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Smoky Mountain Speedway March 28

Glasgow, KY-March 22, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will close out the month of March with another visit to the Volunteer State of Tennessee on Saturday March 28 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN. It will be the tour’s only stop at the 4/10 mile high-banked clay oval in 2015 for an event presented by Tennessee RV Supercenter. The A-Main at this event will be 35 laps in distance and pay $3,000 to the winner.

This will be the third visit for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series to Smoky Mountain Speedway, with Kyle Strickler of Mooresville, NC winning the tour’s 2014 at the track, while Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY won the tour’s first-ever visit to Smoky Mountain Speedway back in 2013.

On Saturday March 28, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 35 lap, $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main contest presented by Tennessee RV Supercenter. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday March 28 will be the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and the track’s Street Stock division, racing for $750 to win.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday March 28 will see the pit area open at 1:00 p.m., with the general admission and tier parking areas open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:20 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Time. Ticket prices for the event at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday March 28 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults and $25 in tier parking, children ages 6 to 11 will be $5 in the general admission area and $10 in tier parking, and children ages 5 and under are free, while a pit pass will be $35.
