Dennis Erb Racing Heads East with Lucas Oil Series Following Illini 100

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing traveled to Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on April 17-18 for the annual running of the 'Illini 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series once again sanctioned the two-day extravaganza, but this year's version of the event was split up into a pair of specials. On Friday night in the $6,000 to win opener, Dennis Erb, Jr. qualified tenth fastest in Group B during the time trial session prior to earning the third transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row in the 25-lap sprint, Dennis wound up twentieth in the final finishing order.

At the 1/4-mile bullring on Saturday evening, a whopping $15,000 payday was on the line in the 'Illini 100' finale. Dennis knocked down the sixth quickest lap in Group A during qualifying and once again finished third in heat race action - despite suffering rear-end problems. After switching to a back-up car prior to the drop of the green flag in the 75-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace rallied from the tail to salvage a thirteenth place performance. Complete results from the 'Illini 100' weekend can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

The #28 team will jump back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series scene on April 24-25 in the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland. The Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania will take center stage on Friday evening, while the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland will host the 34th Annual ‘Stanley Schetrompf Founders Day Classic’ on Saturday night. Both single-day shows out east this weekend will pay $10,000 to the winner. Dennis currently finds himself eleventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings.
