Quarter Midget USAC

Here are two pics of my son in his Quarter Midget. Our first race is this Sunday. I'll let you guys know how it goes. He's pretty pumped about this.

Update on our day yesterday. He qualified 2nd. The first heat was inverted so he started in the back. The CQMA track in Lansing is really difficult to pass on but he worked his way into first place with two laps left to win his heat. He was pumped that he won his "first race ever". Then the feature got inverted so he started dead last. He was going for a pass with 5 laps left and was a little aggressive so he spun the kid out and they sent him to the tail. Car got banged up a bit and he finished last. He was a little disappointed and discouraged that he couldn't get past the car he spun. He said he wished that the track was bigger because if it was he would have passed on the outside. All in all a great first day of racing.
