Bobby Pierce has it on his schedule. No Lucas guys have it on their schedule yet but there will probably be some roll in since they're off that weekend.

I'd say a lot of the guys that depend on a paycheck from racing will be there with all of the rainouts. I'm hoping to make the trip to watch. Been years since I've been to the pond.

The new layout is better than the old one, IMO. Definitely racier and more grooves. If Marlar shows up, he'll run top 3. He owns the Pond.

Chilton isn't too shabby there either. The biggest problem will be parking the rigs. And I plan on getting there pretty (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) early to get a seat.

Is the seating a problem there I was gonna make the trip but I couldn't get there till 6

We made it down for the Ultimate Series race there last year around the time of hot laps. The seats were pretty packed but found a good spot after searching for a while. A buddy of mine that went down for their season opener said they had a trailer full of lumber for new bleachers. Maybe they'll have those up by next weekend. It would be a big help to most fans.

I was there Friday night and unfortunately the lumber was still on the trailer behind the grand stands. they got two weeks left but they going to have to hustle to get them up before the WoO race

Does anyone know where they plan to put the seats? The backstretch seems like a terrible location for them. Turns 3 & 4?

A person would have to assume turns 3&4 cuz the backstretch would have to have a catch fence before they could put them there and it doesnt. I have seen too many cars go over that back stretch wall
