Ok me and a few fellow racers are debating the best way to tie a car down to the trailer. Do you tie it down so the suspension doesn't move? Or tie it down to allow suspension to move? And why? I have heard valid arguments from both sides but curious about people here
Confused?

I tie the chassis down so it doesn't move. I do not like a fluid load. Meaning, the load should be secure to keep from upsetting the trailer.

Depends if trailer has springs or not. If yes tie chassis down, if no, let suspension on car move.

Back when we were on leaf springs ,we tied to suspension. We treated the springs like gold and didn't want the load of tying to the chassis put on them when going down the road. With the gas shocks of today,I can see the same theory working.
