Rod Conley Visits Victory Lane at Southern Ohio Speedway for First Win of 2015!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley scored his first win of the young 2015 racing season on Friday night, May 1 at the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio! Rod qualified well and later won the fast dash to earn the pole position for the 25-lap main event. "Hot Rod" then led the entire distance of the weekly feature to claim the $2,000 payday over Stephen Breeding, Kenny Howell, Shannon Thornsberry, and Ronnie Whitt. Delmas Conley was also in action at SOS on Friday, but overheating issues dropped the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer to a thirteenth place effort.

On Saturday evening, May 2, the action quickly shifted north to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for the 'Dan Reno Memorial' and Delmas, Rod, and J.T. Conley all signed in for competition in the $2,222 to win event. Delmas won the dash and led the majority of the A-Main before placing a strong runner-up behind only victor Greggie Oliver. Rod ran fourth in the dash prior to winding up fourth in the A-Main, while J.T. finished second in the dash before spinning late in the headliner - dropping the youngster to a disappointing sixteenth place performance. Complete results from both Ohio venues can be accessed online at www.southernohiospeedway.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.

This coming weekend, R.J. Conley will return to racing action on Friday night, May 8 with a first-ever visit to Willard Speedway in Willard, Kentucky. The unsanctioned ‘Cabin Fever 50’ boasts a $5,000 top prize tomorrow night in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. R.J. will then join Delmas, Rod, and J.T. Conley on Saturday evening, May 9 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. The ‘Bob Crace Sr. Memorial’ will pay $3,023 to the winner of the Super Late Model special at the track formerly known as K-C Raceway. More information on both of these races can be found online at www.willard-speedway.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.
