Madden has removed this weekend's Spring Nationals races from his schedule despite leading the standings.

There is a provision in the Points Fund that states 80% of the races must be run for a payout. I believe originally there were 12 races on the Spring Nationals schedule. So far three of the races were rained out and not rescheduled. That would mean only 75% of the races will be run and the purse for the Points Fund won't be paid. That would explain why Madden wouldn't feel the need to continue to run for points.

Not sure where SnakeX3 got their information from but if we do complete these races this weekend the entire points fund will be paid like always. If anyone has any questions regarding points fund monies you can direct them to Ray Cook at (828) 360-5353.

Probably just a misunderstanding of what is listed at the very bottom of Purse page here...

"* All points fund monies are based off of 80 percent of races being completed and 100 percent of racer attendance!"

Rereading it now, perhaps it means the driver must complete 80% of the races rather then 80% of the actual races being completed. Either way, I didn't mean to question the integrity of the series or disparage the series in any way. I apologize if it came across that way.

If I was to read this I would be under the same impression as SnakeX3. But I'm glad all has been cleared up. All in all we want the racers to be taking care of and looks like they will be. I have been to a lot of the Ray Cook races and I will have to say its one of the top regional series in the nation.
