Just taking a poll of sorts. What pad and compound are most people on front and rear. I have my own opinion but I think this is an underlooked area. Might be good to take a fresh look. Are yall running split compounds. Also include if your running split master cylinders or even master cylinders!

DTC30 with even mast cylinders.

Dtc 30 here too. But I'm not even close yet on the setup. They seem to be consistant though

I stay on 30s also, except when I run a brake floater on left rear , then I put the most aggressive pad on the floater I can get.

Are the 70's too aggressive? I was thinking about keeping even master cylinders, 30 fronts and 70 rears. I'm a trailbraker. Or it it not worth killing rotors?

70s are designed for asphalt racing. Not that they can't be used for dirt but they are considerably more aggressive.

Yeah I know just thinking. Well it seems like most are on Hawk which is actually kinda surprising because we have gotten away from them on asphalt. Just using this to get some more opinions. I personally like Hawk pads. How often are doing maintenance on your pads and rotors and what are you doing?

I used Hawk 70's on my old C5 Corvette for road course racing. Very aggressive pads but they stop great. The downside was that I usually cracked a rotor about every weekend running them (each weekend we ran 2 45 minute races typically). Just to give you an idea how they worked, but they would last all race long with no brake pedal loss.

I don't know if late models produce as much heat as what I did, but I ran cooling ducts to them on the fronts and still had problems cracking rotors at least on the fronts.

We switched from 30s to Blacks last season and I will admit that I notice some pedal fade on longer runs but I'm not entirely sure it's just the pads. We switched rotors around the same time.

I've had brake fade on the blacks.

How do the blacks and dtc 30's compare as far as feel and stopping power.
