FASTRAK TRIPLE CROWN – all 3 tracks enjoy record crowds!

The 10th annual FASTRAK dirt late model TRIPLE CROWN provided some of the best racing in the history of the event. Most importantly all 3 tracks enjoyed record attendance for the event.
Beckley Speedway, Beckley WV- winner Kennie Compton - track said largest attendance all year and largest attendance in the history of the triple crown at the speedway.

Wythe Raceway, Rural Retreat VA – Winner Ron Parker Record attendance plus Fred and Susan Brown was awarded the first speedway in the FASTRAK “hall of fame”.

Princeton Speedway, Princeton WV – Winner Kennie Compton – largest crowd for the triple crown.
10th annual TRIPLE CROWN WINNER – Ron Parker (only 2nd repeat winner in 10 years)

In the days of struggling crowds, struggling car counts the 10th annual TRIPLE CROWN proved its weight literally in gold. Everything you could imagine or ever wanted to see in dirt racing happened over the weekend. Kennie Compton won night 1 at Beckley with Walker Arthur catching him in the end but ran out of laps. Brandon Umberger leading at Wytheville on night two with Ron Parker running him down. They passed each other several times in the lap 10 laps for the win as Umberger got tied up with a lap car on the front straight which led to flipping some said 7 times down the race track. Nothing left of Umbergers car, but Parker came home with only his 2nd ever FASTRAK touring event win. Night three at Princeton Speedway saw some incredible 3, 4 and 5 wide racing practically all night. The heats were great racing in themselves. As Princeton Speedways owner, Melvin Bishop stated afterwards, “FASTRAK is alive and well”. No doubt some thought FASTRAK might be on the way out, but if this weekend’s events were an indicator it looks like FASTRAK will be around for a long time to come.

“I was more than pleased with the results of this years TRIPLE CROWN” stated Stan Lester of FASTRAK. “It’s good to see this event do so well for our tracks and for the series. I don’t remember a cross word from anyone all weekend and everyone said they had a fun time. That’s what we should be all about.”

Sportemedianettv.com provided live broadcast coverage of the event and even though there was a snag or two on the audio side, the filming was absolutely second to none. Sportsmediatv will continue to broadcast all the FASTRAK events and is only charging an astounding $4.99 per show.
