You know what's funny about a Wisconsin guy saying that about Illinios is that Wisconsin isn't exactly the hockey state everyone thinks it is either. Once you get passed the Madison area the sport pretty well dies until you start hitting the Minnesota border. I'm not from either state but am a very avid hockey fan and for the U.S. Minnesota without a doubt is the American hockey state. Wisconsin may have a small advantage on hockey over Illinios, but I bet they don't have ice all year as much as Illinios because I know most towns north and northeast of Madison don't have ice all year.
