Big Ten Super Late Models Set For First Macon Appearance After a great night of POWRi racing, another big weekend of action is set for this coming Saturday, June 13 at Macon (IL) Speedway. This week, the Big Ten Super Late Models will be making their first appearance of the season for a $1,500 to win 50-lap feature. In addition, the Billingsley Towing Modifieds will also be running a 50-lap feature event. This Saturday's event should be the fifth event of the season for the Big Ten Super Late Models. However, rainouts at Jacksonville, Macon, and Belle-Clair have made this just event number two on the ten race schedule. Mark Burgtorf claimed the only event win of the season, which came on May 17 at Quincy. Daryn Klein, Brian Dively, Jim Moon, and Jamie Wilson were top five finishers. Originally, the June 13 Macon Speedway event was set to be a Big Ten combo for Supers and Pros. Due to large turnouts of Pros at Macon, the events have now been made standalone events. However, Pro Late Model competitors are urged to attend the Super races as well. In fact, this Saturday's event will give an additional $100 bonus to the highest finishing Pro Late Model competitor. In addition to the Twin 50's for the Super Late Models and UMP Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets will also be racing. Pit gates open Saturday at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, the pill draw ends when practice begins at 6:00, and racing will start at 7:00. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and children 11 and under are free.
