Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Visits Moler June 26, Florence June 27
Glasgow, KY-June 19, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will return to action after a week off with a doubleheader of racing action on Friday June 26 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH and Saturday June 27 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY. Both events will be 30 laps and pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.
The trip to Moler Raceway Park will mark the tour’s eighth visit to Moler. Previous series winners at Moler Raceway include Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN (2014), Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY (2011, 2013), Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN (twice in 2012), Michael England of Glasgow, KY (2011), and John Demoss of Bloomington, IN (2010). The weekend will also mark the tour’s eighth visit to Florence Speedway, with previous winners including Josh Rice of Verona, KY (2014), Brandon Green of Walton, KY (2014), Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, MI (2013), Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN (2012, 2013), Rick Aukland of Zanesville, OH (2012), and Matt Hamilton of Aurora, IN (2011)
The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday June 26 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event presented by L&M Performance and Bad Fast Chassis. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Moler Raceway Park on Friday June 26 will be the track’s Super Late Model, Crazy Compacts, Sport Mod, and Four Cylinder divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. The legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only.
Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Moler Raceway Park on Friday June 26 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 7:15 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Moler Raceway Park on Friday June 26 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 7 to 12, with children ages 6 and under free, while a pit pass will be $30.
